Dr. Mooradian

Dr. Lavin

Dr. Chris Mooradian earned his Associates degree in Radiological Technology (AART) in 1978. He worked at Yale New Haven Hospital as an X-Ray Technician while finishing his undergraduate education at Southern CT State University, graduating with a BS in Biology in 1981.

Dr. Mooradian went on to study at the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL , graduating in 1985 as a Doctor of Chiropractic, earning a Bachelors Degree in Human Biology, and completing a 100 hour acupuncture post-graduate degree. With State Licensure in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Virginia, Dr. Mooradian decided to start his career as a Chiropractic Associate in Hampton, Virginia in 1986, before returning to Connecticut with his wife, Dr. Mary Lavin, and opening the Eastern Shore Chiropractic Center in New London in 1987. In practice for over twenty years, Dr. Mooradian has spent extensive time pursuing advanced education in his primary areas of interest- sports medicine and nutrition.

With over 600 hours of postgraduate education in orthopedics and sports medicine, Dr. Mooradian has been able to offer his patients the latest in corrective and rehabilitative care. He has had extensive postgraduate education in Nutrition, which has allowed him to not only help his patients improve their rates of recovery through nutritional support, but their quality of life as well.

In 1982, Dr. Mary Lavin graduated from Union College in Schenectady , New York with a Bachelors Degree in Biology. Choosing a career in noninvasive, natural medicine, she continued her education at the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois, graduating in 1986 as a Doctor of Chiropractic, while also earning a Bachelors Degree in Human Biology, and completing a 100 hour acupuncture postgraduate degree. 

After successfully completing state license examinations in Virginia, New York, Rhode Island and Connecticut, she began her career as a Chiropractic Physician in Hampton, Virginia, in the office of Dr. Burt Rubin. 

Following this one-year associate position, she moved to Connecticut with her husband, Dr. Christopher Mooradian, to open the Eastern Shore Chiropractic Center of New London in 1987.

Practicing for over 20 years, Dr. Lavin has continued her education, with over 600 hours additional postgraduate training in orthopedics and sports medicine.  Whether she is working with student athletes, weekend warriors or active seniors, her passion is helping patients achieve their potential at home, work and at play.
